An experienced analyst will develop easy-to-understand requirements in front of your assigned project stakeholder(s) in a workshop type environment. Stakeholders will be able to present these requirements to colleagues in order to gain buy-in to the project and the involvement and agreement of key decision-makers.
These requirements are also developed in a way which allows them to be used directly by development and test staff as an unambiguous definition of required system functionality.
